Make A Game & Learn To Code

Have you always wanted to learn to make your own video games? Through the power and simplicity of the Python programming language, you will learn to make your own video games from scratch.

Saturdays, November 14th and 21st 1p.m. to 5 p.m.

No prior programming experience is needed! We'll start by learning programming fundamentals including data types, programming loops and defining our own functions. We'll end by working together to make our own shooter video game, similar to Galaxian. 

You'll leave this workshop with experience in the Python programming language and the skills & resources to make more video games for yourself. 

Be sure to bring: your laptop (If a Windows machine you will be set but if you're bring a Mac or Linux you'll need to let us know and come about 30 min early on the first night to get set-up)

Age: 15+

Fee: $200

CO:member James Dozier is a data analyst that uses Python heavily in his daily work, writing scripts that move data between sources to create his own applications. In his spare time he uploads all sorts of fun things to Thingiverse-- check them out here!
