“Made for the love of indigo.” That’s how Lisa describes her work—the whole dyeing process is enchanting and you’ll love it too! We’ll start from a blank slate (AKA all-natural cotton napkins and tea towels in this case) and create a pattern with two different resist dyeing techniques. We’ll cover the basics of shibori (binding/folding/clamping) and rice paste resists in this three hour workshop.
All levels of experience are welcome—hand dyeing is a fun and curious process, so all you need is a willingness to experiment. All supplies for the workshop will be provided. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dye on.
You’ll leave with: 4 cotton napkins and 1 cotton tea towel that you will have dyed with the methods/patterns of your choice
Workshop fee: $65. Please be sure to sign-up by April 27th so we can have all supplies ready. Minimum age: 15
