If you have kept up with theCO at all over the past year, then you know by now that CO.STARTERS is one our most prized offerings to give the Jackson community. The nine-week program equips business owners and would-be entrepreneurs with the same knowledge and tools used by high-growth startups so that concepts can be turned into practical business models. Rather than participants treating their companies like large corporations, each in encouraged to build and test small models along the way, while making adjustments based upon real-time customer feedback. At the culmination of each program is a “pitch night,” where participants will synthesize everything they have learned and how they plan to use it in their business by giving quick but thorough presentations to a feedback panel and the community.
This time we want YOU to join us! Beginning at 6:00PM on Tuesday, February 2nd, we'll have refreshments and a time for you to get to meet each participant, hear some of the personal stories behind their businesses, and have a chance to peruse their products; at 7:00PM we'll start pitch presentations. We hope to see you there along with these budding entrepreneurs!
Health Coach | From Fluff to Fit
"As a Health Coach, I not only spend time coaching my clients one on one, but I spend time writing blog posts and articles that will help them on their health journey. When you consistently create a lot of content, it is easy to be overwhelmed by all of your different ideas. CO:STARTERS taught me how to brainstorm and organize my thoughts to produce high quality content that helps my clients and audience achieve their health and fitness goals."

"CO.STARTERS has helped me answer many 'how' questions like, 'How will I reach my customers?' and, 'How do I figure out my financial needs to manage a profitable business?' I’ve been able to ad- dress the future of my ceramics from a business-minded perspective, which has helped me understand new ways in which I can move forward with my business. I can better understand what financial decisions I need to make now and in the long run to secure my business’s success and and stability."
Furniture Design & Production | Zac Pankey Studios
"As a college student, I have had little experience interacting with the professional business world. The process of making an object came naturally. I wanted to make the transition from hobbyist to professional at some point, but did not know where to begin. I could create a product or fulfill a commission with ease but knew almost nothing about obtaining market research, finding new customers, bookkeeping, or overseeing the legal proceedings of my business. CO.starters has made me readily aware of the pitfalls that can can surprise a startup and has equipped me with the skills and tools to navigate the diverse landscape of business."
