Educator Workshop: Novice Web Development

How do you teach high school students to become developers, especially when you have little coding experience yourself? Have no fear, Dev Catalyst is here. We will explain the ins and outs of our online curriculum and competition.

In addition, you will learn website development from our CO:de meetup coordinator and professional developer, Chance Smith. He will teach you how to build a web page using HTML and CSS. From there, you will learn how to use Bootstrap in order to make your website responsiveness.

Wrap up the day by exploring GitHub and understanding how students will submit their web projects for a chance to win a FREE tech tour trip to San Francisco! (Don't worry. Teachers can win a spot on the trip as well.)

Attendees should bring a laptop.
