Are you looking for ways to incorporate STEM activities into your classroom? Join us for an introduction to the Raspberry Pi mini computer. From breadboards to circuit boards, middle & high school teachers are invited for a day of fun as you learn everything you need to know to get the Raspberry Pi running right out of the box!
Throughout the day, you will learn how to configure a pi, create simple games using the pi, complete some simple electronics projects and learn about the Dev Catalyst Raspberry Pi competition category for middle school and high school students. This course will give you the basic knowledge, resources and confidence you need to utlize the Raspberry Pi mini computer in the classroom.
Led by: Ben Lawrence
Ben Lawrence is an Instructor of Industrial Technology at Jackson State Community College. He holds degrees in biology and electrical engineering while currently working on a masters in engineering technology. When not sharing his couch with two cats and a dog, Ben spends his free time completing woodworking and electronics projects.
With Ben's experience in the operation, maintenance, and management of technically complex systems, you will learn how to motivate your students with fun activities centered around modern tech needs.
