In this introductory robotics summer camp, designed for students of ages 10-17, campers will be exposed to the ever growing world of robotics. Students will work in teams to build robots using the VEX VRC kit. Students will build a simplified version of the robot and learn about some of the basic concepts and ideas relating to robotics. Throughout the 3 day camp, each student’s robot will be modified to complete challenges or games. Additionally, students will learn how to program their robots using a block-based programming language. This block-based programming language will allow students to easily add sensors to their robot; which will allow your robot to make decisions based off of the world around it.
Camp runs 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13th, Thursday June 14th and Friday June 15th. Campers should bring a bagged lunch each day. Refrigeration will NOT be available. theCO will provide robotics kits for participants to work with.
